Accountant

The Accountant at Noorka Logistics applies their conceptual knowledge of accounting, with moderate guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, to solve a range of straightforward accounting problems. The role involves analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The accountant understands key business drivers and uses this knowledge to solve problems through analysis, technical experience, judgment, and precedents.

Responsibilities:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Financial Control: Maintain internal financial control over the assigned area of responsibility.
• Financial Analysis: Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare reports.
• Ledger Management: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as the general ledger.
• Workflow Management: Follow work procedures and expedite workflow, ensuring accuracy and neatness.
• Records Examination: Examine records of current and past operations, trends, and costs.
• System Development: Develop and maintain a computer-based system in line with corporate accounting procedures.
• Foreign Currency Hedging: Ensure all activities involving foreign currency are hedged according to company policy.
• Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
• Cross-Departmental Coordination: Align and coordinate with other departments to maintain a good working relationship and ensure overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Experience: 3-4 years of relevant experience.
• Skills: Strong technical, team, and communication skills.
• Multitasking: Ability to multi-task and manage tight reporting schedules.
