Team Intro
Workplace Design team is an important part of the Bytedance Real Estate COE team in Dubai. The mission of the team is to establish a series of Workplace Design Standard integrated into Bytedance’s corporate culture and brand identity with understanding of regions uniqueness.
This lead role supervises and leads the interior and MEP design, and in addition to supporting the design standard interpretation for all Bytedance office projects globally.

Responsibilities

• Set goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how to work together with other partner teams. Delivers strategic workplace design guidelines to meet Bytedance’ goals and objectives regarding the development of innovative workplace solutions.
• Establish a good communication and feedback mechanism, while supporting the implementation and pilot projects of global design standardization.
• Ensure alignment across cross functional teams and regional teams on the design guidelines and strategies.
• Design standardization work involves workplace programming, planning principles, metrics & configuration, interior design, MEP design, signage design, furniture & soft decoration, environmental design, art & graphics, etc.
• Support regional pilot project design management work to ensure control of design implementation quality and cost indicators during general contract bidding and later construction stage.
• Develop and coach interior & MEP designers in the team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of a degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in office or commercial interior design, especially design experience with tech company and prior experience in workplace consulting are preferred. Candidates with first tier design firms or corporate real estate experience is an advantage.
• In-depth understanding of workplace strategies, trends, solutions and interior & MEP design related knowledge. Candidates with design standardization experience is an advantage.
• Highly organized and self-driven creative leaders are capable of influencing teams beyond individual projects.
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and proactive in partnering with colleagues with various levels and types of experience to deliver strategic solutions.
• Excellent presentation skills and project management ability.
• Able to travel across different regions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in different regions, and familiar with building regulatory knowledge;
• Familiar with project management processes, project budgeting and cost control;
