Job Title: Florist

Job Overview: As a florist, you will be responsible for creating floral arrangements, bouquets, and displays using fresh, dried, or artificial flowers. You will work with customers to understand their needs and preferences, provide advice on flower selection and care, and ensure the timely delivery of orders. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for flowers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Floral Arranging: Create unique and aesthetically pleasing floral arrangements for various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, funerals, and other events. This includes selecting appropriate flowers and greenery, arranging them in vases or baskets, and ensuring they meet the customers specifications.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers in-person, over the phone, or via email to understand their floral requirements. Provide recommendations and advice on flower selection, colors, and styles based on the occasion and budget.
• Order Processing: Receive and process orders accurately and efficiently. This involves recording customer details, delivery addresses, and special instructions. Coordinate with delivery personnel to ensure timely and safe delivery of orders.
• Inventory Management: Monitor flower and plant inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure the freshness and quality of available stock. Properly handle and care for flowers to maintain their longevity.
• Visual Merchandising: Arrange displays of flowers and plants in-store to attract customers and showcase seasonal offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the floral department or shop.
• Knowledge of Floral Design: Stay updated on current floral trends, design techniques, and seasonal availability of flowers. Continuously improve your floral design skills and explore new arrangement styles.
• Care and Maintenance: Ensure that all flowers and plants are properly hydrated, trimmed, and conditioned to maintain their freshness and appearance. Educate customers on how to care for their flowers to maximize longevity.
• Sales and Upselling: Promote additional products such as greeting cards, balloons, and gift items to increase sales revenue. Upsell premium flower arrangements or custom designs based on customer preferences.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a florist (Home country or UAE) or in a similar role, preferably in a retail environment.
• Creative flair and a passion for flowers and floral design.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, and their seasonal availability.
• Basic understanding of floral design principles and techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy flower arrangements and plants.
