Assistant Soft Services Manager

The purpose of this position is to lead a team of Soft Services Supervisors & housekeepers to provide a safe, well maintained and clean environment within the premises of the Dubai Metro railway in line with customer expectations performance target. The main reason for this role is to plan, supervise and deliver cleaning services within the premises of Dubai Metro.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• People accountabilities:

• Management and supervision of different disciplines of in-house and outsourced housekeeping staff to ensure they deliver the cleaning standards within the premises of Dubai Metro; such as stations, car parks, ancillary buildings, trains and depots to achieve RTA KPI targets in accordance with the Concession Agreement.

• Coaching of supervisors and providing guidance.

• Management of operational training and deployment of staff.

• Technical Planning and Allocation:

• Provide greater management coverage on night shift.

• Take accountability of certain cleaning functions examples are;- internal train cleaning, depot and workshop cleaning, roadway sweeping and carpark cleaning.

• Ensure planed activities are carried out as per the schedules and required standards.

• Coordinating with various departments for operational needs.

• Provide leave cover for Soft / Senior Soft Services Managers .

• Management of output for pest control subcontractors and escalation of non-compliance to the contract framework .
• Perform regular safety reviews, audits and inspections within their work area.
• Carry out periodic health, safety, quality, environment and operational briefing to the Soft Services supervisors.
• Perform and carry out other duties as instructed / directed by the Senior Soft Services Manager.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRMENT

• Basic computer knowledge.

KEY SKILLS

• Ability to supervise a team of housekeepers with an aim to meet the committed performance target of cleanliness in a cost effective and efficient manner.
• Good interpersonal and people skills, and a mature, methodical and responsible approach to work.
• Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to demonstrate both good literacy and numeracy skills required for the role.

EXPERIANCE

• A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Senior Soft Services Supervisor in Dubai Metro

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFCATION

• High School Diploma.
