Bachelor s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience as an ELV CAD Draughtsman preferably in ...

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an ELV CAD Draughtsman, preferably in the Gulf region.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of ELV systems, including structured cabling, telecommunications, security, access control, CCTV, etc.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing ELV system design and installation (e.g., ANSI/TIA, IEEE, NFPA).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings and schematics.
  • Develop detailed ELV system drawings and schematics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to integrate ELV systems into overall building designs.
  • Design and layout structured cabling, telecommunications, security, access control, CCTV, and other ELV systems.
  • Generate cable schedules, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts according to project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing ELV system design and installation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to select appropriate equipment and components for ELV systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather information for design purposes and identify potential challenges.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders and quality assurance processes.
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) and clarifications.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Salary: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
