Food Runner

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, food runner will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth delivery of food from the kitchen to the guests tables. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate with the kitchen staff and servers/waiters to ensure that dishes are brought out promptly, accurately, and presented beautifully. You will contribute to creating a positive dining experience for our guests by delivering exceptional service and maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

Food Delivery: Collect dishes from the kitchen and accurately deliver them to the appropriate tables, ensuring correct table numbers and guests are served the correct orders.

Timelines: Collaborate closely with the kitchen staff and servers to maintain efficient communication and ensure that orders are delivered promptly to avoid delays in service.

Attention to Detail: Ensure that each dish is presented according to the restaurant & plating standards, paying attention to the arrangement, garnishes, and overall aesthetics.

Order Accuracy: Verify that each dish matches the order details (e.g., special requests, modifications) before delivering it to the guests.

Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner, answering any questions they may have about the dishes and accommodating any additional requests courteously.

Assistance to Waiter(s): Collaborate with servers to assist them in clearing tables, refilling water glasses, and other tasks as needed to enhance the dining experience.

Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with both the kitchen staff and servers, ensuring smooth coordination during busy periods.

Cleanliness: Ensure the dining area and service stations are clean and organized, contributing to a tidy and welcoming restaurant environment.

Upselling: Familiarize yourself with the menu and be prepared to suggest specials, promotions, or additional items to guests, contributing to increased sales.

Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the entire restaurant team, including servers, hosts/hostesses, kitchen staff, and management, to provide exceptional service and ensure guest satisfaction.
