Civil Engineer

Job description

The main Responsibilities of the job

1. As Civil Engineer you will carry out / execute construction work in accordance with drawings as per instructions of Senior Site Engineer; work execution plans issued by Site Engineer/Project Engineer to meet the specified criteria of workmanship.

2. Overall Site supervision of construction works, labour, materials, equipment movement, and proper distribution of such resources.

3. Maintain site safety procedures (create safe working environment), security and housekeeping as per HSE plan and ensure compliance with safety procedures and report any risks to Site Engineer.

4. Maintain Equipment / tools in good working conditions and report any required repairs or damages.

5. Assists in writing and receiving work orders; plans, assist in supervision, and monitors work for the day crew and assigns work for completion by night crew.

6. Ensure production of work is being carried out in accordance with Construction programme provided by Site Engineer.

7. Handles materials on site and its movement to minimize double handling, damage to materials and minimize wastage.

. Ensure that the work completed is protected against damages in all allocated project sites.

9. Ensure no work is covered – up prior to inspection / test in accordance with relevant Inspection / Test Plans.

10. Coordination of trade subcontractors and the provision of necessary facilitates in accordance with job requirements.

11. Monitoring all subcontractors’ resources to ensure adequacy and availability to maintain the construction schedule.

12. Brief and report to the PM/ Site Engineer in regards to progress, problems, solutions, changes, Vos, daily reports, etc.

* Perform any task or work assigned to you by the direct Manager. Other than the above missions and tasks, all the additional tasks requested by your line Manager
