Tendering & Contracts Manager

You will be working as Tendering & Contracts Manager, will be part of Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions division based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be responsible to create, and complete bids/estimations/ quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget. Ensure all contracts management activities during the process of tendering, negotiation & execution are adhered in accordance with company guidelines and directives.

• Formulating competitive bids/estimates/quotations for the tenders, ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs, reviewing, and commenting on commercial tender terms and conditions and related annexes in contract / frame agreement, managing the preparation of all financials (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis), project management (e.g. quantifies hours of engineering and commissioning)
• Identifying the overall execution strategy with Product Marketing Director considering risk, pricing, scope, and schedule, identifying the contract baseline (including terms and conditions, specifications, drawings, estimate, proposal, schedule, and other documents incorporated in the contract) and highlights areas of potential risk.
• Collecting and archiving documentation regarding the offer/order and recording assumptions and decisions taken during the development process, keeping a track of win / loss analysis and market price per segment, keeping track record of all contractual letters, and responding in coordination with legal department.
• Identifying potential risks in the bids, quotations and estimates and in any related contract agreements across customers/channels, providing information and preparing the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy, establishing and enforcing standard change methodologies in portfolio of contracts identifying changes and quantify the additional time and compensation due to ABB per the contract.
• Defining approval requirements and communicating changes to the customer, enforcing, and defending ABBs contractual interests against customer and suppliers during the whole of a project life cycle, including monitoring and assessing changes and deviations, as well as defending and enforcing claims, developing the negotiation strategy, and supporting negotiations, supporting Legal handling formal dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration
• Notifying and liaising with Legal to report major claims and keeps Legal updated of any critical development during project execution, supporting drafting of PO’s, contracts and subcontracts and ensuring that relevant (sub) contracts contain appropriate contract terms to protect ABB’s interest, including flow-down of main contract terms.
• Seeking advice from Legal (Export Control) to ensure accurate handling of all export control matters and ensuring close review of all contracts and projects regarding restrictions on exports, considering countries, customers or products involved and the respective laws and ABB regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree – Electrical Engineering
• 8 to 10+ years of proven relevant experience in EPC / Vendors in UAE / Gulf Countries
• Fluency in English language is mandatory.
