Light operator

Job Description:

Masaya is seeking a talented and experienced Event Lighting Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lighting equipment for a variety of events, ensuring that all lighting enhances the atmosphere and experience for attendees.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and break down lighting equipment for events including concerts, conferences, weddings, and corporate functions.
• Collaborate with event planners, production managers, and other team members to understand lighting requirements and create lighting designs.
• Program and control lighting consoles during events, ensuring smooth operation and quick problem-solving if issues arise.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lighting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in event lighting.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in lighting design or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a lighting operator in the event production industry.
• Proficiency with lighting consoles and control software (e.g., MA Lighting, ETC, Hog).
• Strong technical skills and understanding of lighting principles, DMX protocols, and rigging.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments and schedules.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work at heights.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ajman: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Preferred)
